# Saturday, October 17

Take the kiln day. You have three kiln Saturdays left (Oct 17, Oct 31, Nov 7), and this is the only one with slack in it.

Why:
- The four bisqued pieces need their glaze firing. Do it Oct 17.
- The jar you throw Oct 13 still needs a bisque firing and a glaze firing. That's Oct 31 and Nov 7. Skip Oct 17 and all three jobs land on the last two Saturdays, with no second chance if a glaze fails.
- A couch is the exact lift you said leaves you slow for two days. That costs you Sunday too, and Tuesday studio night might go with it.

What to tell Marcus: "I can't that Saturday. I'm firing work for a show." Then stop talking. Don't offer another day.

If you're tempted to say yes because "it's just one Saturday," that's the dodge. You know where it goes.

One check: today is Thursday, Oct 8, so "this Saturday" is Oct 10. Make sure Marcus means Oct 17.
