Reader answers, dated November 6, 2015. These are role-play constraints, not historical claims about any real staffer or city office.

1. My role: a city council staffer preparing a public-facing briefing, not a water-system operator or physician.
2. My deadline: before the next council briefing. I can recommend communication and request sampling; I cannot issue an official all-clear or direct emergency operations myself.
3. My audience: residents, especially households near planned service-line work. Keep the advisory short, plain-language, and translated and accessibility-reviewed with community partners before publication.
4. I want a short answer first, then quotations and source links. Escalate any urgent exposure or treatment question to the responsible health/water authorities. Never publish a household street, address, child health detail or identifying sampling location.
