A poster that changes with a number

Make a striking vector poster, then change its seed for a new composition.

What the agent made

Ran it for real with Claude Code 2.1.292 and OMP 18.8.5 on 2026-10-08, in an empty session with no saved memory. Your result will differ.

Claude Code made this: poster.svg

The same prompt in OMP made its own version: open what OMP made. Two runs, two different results: that is normal.

Make your own

  1. Get the files

Make an empty folder called cli-practice in Downloads. No downloads: start in an empty folder.

  2. Open your agent in that folder

Open a terminal in cli-practice and type claude or omp --approval-mode always-ask. First time? Set up in about five minutes, with steps for Mac, Windows, and Linux.

  3. Paste this prompt

In this practice folder, write poster.py using Python's standard library only. It must accept an optional integer seed, default 12, and generate poster.svg with a 600 by 800 canvas, a dramatic typographic title, visible seed, and a generative composition of layered circles. Use only ink blue, coral, and cream, with generous negative space. Run it with seed 12. Make seed 13 produce a visibly different composition. Use ASCII punctuation throughout. Keep everything offline and self-contained. Do not edit inputs, leave this folder, install packages, use APIs, or fetch anything.

The prompt asks the agent to stay in this folder; it cannot enforce that. Read each file change and command before you approve it.

  4. Check it yourself

Open cli-practice/poster.svg in your web browser (double-click it), then:

Human check: Open poster.svg and read the seed 12 label; rerun poster.py with seed 13 and see the composition change while the palette stays the same.

When we checked the recording above: Opened actual seed 12 SVGs in Chromium and read labels. Ran both generators with seed 13, refreshed and saw clearly changed circle composition with same three-color palette; restored seed 12. No changed inputs or external resources.

Why an agent, not a chat window

An agent writes a reusable generator and runs it to save an actual vector file, rather than only describing a design in chat.
